I’m Gemma and I am about to start the third year of my fashion degree,
When I’m not studying I like to blog about fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Fashion is my passion, I’m often asked what my hobbies are and to be honest fashion is both my hobby and work (although I do like watersports, badminton, film, photography and baking to name a few other hobbies).
For me fashion is a chance to escape into another world and that’s the allure of fashion really. From an early age I have always loved shoes, simply slip into a pair and they can change the way you walk. I remember my first pair of real heels, my mum hated them, they were six-inch gold platforms and in hence sight they weren’t the perfect choice for a young teen but I felt like a sixties pop star in them. But that’s what them shoes were to me – Escapism.
One fashion agenda which is going to grow in importance is sustainable fashion. People are becoming more savvy about where there clothes come from and where they will go after they have finished with them. And I’m one of them. I’m not claiming to know everything about sustainable fashion but I am thirsty to learn. I set up this blog as I believe knowledge is for sharing.
I’m not perfect. I love fashion. I try to make conscience choices where I can.
